Meet the Founder

I built the business. Now I help beauty entrepreneurs build theirs.

Beauty Entrepreneur. Business Strategist.

I’m Maia Laneè, beauty entrepreneur, business strategist, and founder of Mai Beauty Spot and Mai Luxe Creative Studio.

My experience in the beauty industry has extended far beyond providing services. I’ve navigated what it actually takes to build a beauty business from branding, pricing and client acquisition to operations, physical locations, marketing, partnerships, revenue strategy and growth.

Along the way, I recognized a gap that many talented beauty professionals experience: knowing your craft and knowing how to build a business around your craft are two very different skill sets.

That realization became the foundation for my work in business development.

Today, I help beauty students, emerging entrepreneurs and established business owners turn their ideas into strategic, sustainable businesses. Whether that means launching correctly, strengthening profitability, attracting and retaining clients, preparing for a suite or storefront, restructuring an existing business, or developing a strategy for expansion, my approach combines vision with execution.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all business advice. We identify where you are, understand where you’re trying to go, uncover what’s standing in the way, and build the strategy to move forward.

Your talent may start the journey. Strategy is what helps you build something that lasts.

More than Mentorship. Real Business Experience.

Beauty business consultation with Maia Laneè about business growth and mentorship.

My approach is shaped by hands-on experience building and operating beauty businesses, developing physical spaces, marketing services, acquiring clients, navigating overhead, creating partnerships, consulting entrepreneurs, and helping businesses identify opportunities for growth.

I bring those lessons into every consultation, accelerator and advisory engagement so clients receive practical strategy they can actually implement.

The strategy speaks through the results.

“I originally reached out to Maia because I was considering selling my salon. The business wasn’t receiving the traffic I needed, and I was looking for a solution that would allow the space to operate successfully without requiring me to physically be there every day.

Maia came in, took the time to understand my goals, evaluated the salon’s current structure and expenses, and helped me create a strategy to reposition the space. We focused on increasing visibility, attracting beauty professionals, and restructuring the salon so that rental income could help cover the overhead.

What started as a conversation about selling became a plan for creating a more sustainable, independently operating business. Maia helped me see another opportunity for the salon and gave me a clear strategy for moving forward.”

“I initially connected with Maia because I was considering selling my nail salon, even though the amount I was willing to sell it for was significantly less than what I had invested into the business. Maia helped me shift my mindset from simply exiting the business to understanding what needed to change for the salon to operate successfully.

She evaluated the business from an operational perspective, helped identify areas that were affecting profitability and growth, and provided direction on how to restructure the salon rather than walk away from the investment. We worked on rebranding, improving the overall business model, and putting systems in place to create more structure and consistency in the day-to-day operations.

Working with Maia gave me a different perspective on what was possible for my salon. Instead of focusing on selling, I was able to focus on rebuilding the business with clearer systems, stronger branding, and a strategy designed for long-term success.”

THE RESULT: Shifted the strategy from selling below the owner’s total investment to restructuring and rebuilding the business through operational improvements, rebranding, stronger systems, and a sustainable growth plan.

“Maia came by my nail salon and spa and she knew I was experiencing slower days, and I was concerned about maintaining the business while needing to step away more to support my family during a difficult season.

Maia helped me understand that stepping back personally didn’t mean I had to walk away from the business or stop generating income. She helped us develop promotions to increase foot traffic, create monthly programs designed to encourage clients to return consistently, and improve our overall sales strategy.

She also worked with us on the operational side of the business identifying areas where our staff structure, sales processes, and day-to-day systems could be improved so the salon could operate successfully without depending entirely on my presence.

We began seeing increased sales and stronger client activity, and as business grew, we needed to bring on additional staff to support the demand. Most importantly, Maia helped create a structure that allowed me to remain an owner and continue providing for my family while having the flexibility to prioritize what mattered most at home.

The salon continues to maintain the momentum we built, and the systems and strategies we implemented have helped position the business for continued growth.”

THE RESULT:Increased foot traffic and sales through strategic promotions and recurring-client programs, strengthened staff and operational systems, expanded the team to support increased demand, and created a business structure that reduced the owner’s need to be physically present every day.

Why I do this..

Beauty professionals invest countless hours mastering their craft, yet many enter entrepreneurship without being taught pricing, profitability, marketing, business systems, client acquisition, financial readiness or what it truly takes to operate a business.

I want to help close that gap.

My mission is to give beauty entrepreneurs access to the strategy, resources and business education that help them make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary mistakes and build businesses capable of supporting the life and future they’re working toward.
